Emails your patients receive

When your app places orders and sends intakes through the API, VitaRelay emails the patient for you. You don’t have to build these, and they never say “VitaRelay” — they’re sent in your clinic’s brand.

What’s sent

If the order is waiting on a health intake, the order confirmed email also carries the intake link as its main button, on your own domain.

Patients who don’t have a login yet

A patient created through the API has no VitaRelay login. They get one email, not two: the confirmation above plus a “Create your account” button with your clinic’s own sign-up link. The link attaches their new login to the patient record you created, so there’s no duplicate patient. The link is reused until it expires (a few days); a new one is made the next time an email goes out. A patient who already has a login gets the plain confirmation.

Branding and sender

  • The name, logo and colors are your clinic’s. All links point at your own domain.
  • The email is sent from your verified sending domain (for example noreply@mail.yourclinic.com). Until a sending domain is verified for your clinic, it’s sent under your display name from VitaRelay’s address.
  • The contents are PHI-free: an order number, total and shipping speed — never products or answers.

What is not sent

  • Nothing is sent for an order that is unpaid or a dry run — an order that is never paid isn’t announced to the patient.
  • Nothing is sent to a patient with no email on file, or one who has switched notifications off.
  • Each email is sent once per order or intake, even if your request is retried.
Want to send your own emails too? Use the webhooks — order.paid, order.shipped, intake.submitted, and the rest — to trigger them from your system.
